En esta ocasión entrevistamos a Carlos Sola, piloto del Chaparral Fundación Brugal, que se hizo con el premio, al piloto que mas Km. ha completado durante la temporada, tanto en VS1 como VS2, adjudicándose el volante “G25-M2 by Mcnolo”, valorado en más de 800 euros.

 

 

Hola Chals, gracias por atendernos.

P.- ¿Impresiónate no? Pedazo premio te llevas eh

R.-primero buenas tardes; si, estoy de acuerdo, como tu bien dices es un pedazo de premio.que alguien me corrija si me equivoco, pero creo que es el mejor premio de cuantos se hayan concedido en el mundo del simracing. Sin duda este gesto hace engrandecer si cabe a VS-RTC como liga referente.

P.-La participación fue a menos después de verano, ¿tendría que a ver 20 volantes de premio? ¿Cómo crees que se soluciona el tema de la participación? Esta última es la pregunta eh, jajajaja

R.-no, jaja, 20 volantes no, arruinaríamos a Fran, fuera broma, este es mi sexto campeonato, y siempre más o menos es lo mismo, la gente empieza muy fuerte  y  luego algunos se desmarcan dependiendo de cómo les vaya en el campeonato. Esta vez yo pensé que sería diferente por el premio del volante, pero no fue así. A ver cuando un piloto abandona una carrera , recuperar 15, 20 o 30 vueltas a todos los demás se hace tarea difícil y baja la motivación, caso de Luis, era un serio candidato, pero dos problemas de línea le hicieron mucho daño.Yo siempre lo he dicho, eso es tarea de la organización a la hora de adjudicar un asiento para la próxima temporada. Yo no haría dos categorías, solo una, y cumpliendo requisitos para participar en ella, no solo tener mucho nombre sino aplicar unos parámetros  de estadísticas de campeonatos anteriores, por participación e implicación, de que vale que corra llamase X si luego no aparece.

P.-Hablando ya de la temporada, el inicio fue difícil para ti, aunque entre tú y Galop ibais sacando puntitos para el Chaparral. ¿Os costó adaptaros al mod? Cuéntanos un poco como fue el inicio de temporada tanto para ti como para el equipo.

R.-Si, a ver. Por mi parte mi mayor dificultad fue el correr sin TC, me costó mucho hacerme con un manejo fino en carrera y eso se traduce en malos resultados, por su parte Galop creo que él fue el que mejor se adapto de nosotros y nos ayudo mucho en el tema del reglaje al principio, sufrió algún abandono por colisiones ajenas y eso mermo un poco su confianza a seguir trabajando.

P.-El primer pódium para el equipo llega de la mano de tu compañero Galop en Barcelona, con un gran 7º puesto por tu parte, quizá empezaron a llegar los resultados un poco tarde….

R.-Si, ese fue el premio a la dedicación para Galop. En las primeras carreras es muy difícil plantear una carrera marcándote un objetivo cuando sales el 10º o 15º, las parrillas estaban llenas, y por atrás hay mucho colgado que sale 16º y en dos vueltas quiere remontar hasta la cabeza, esto hace que no puedas plantear nada, solo rezar. En Barcelona empezó a bajar la participación y se pudo  trabajar en planteamientos de hacer una buena  carrera.

P.- ¿Cuando empezaste a pensar en que era posible ganar el volante? ¿Y cómo condiciono esto en los reglajes de tus setups?

R.- si te digo la verdad el día que se anuncio el premio estaba convencido de que era para mí. He participado en 3 campeonatos en RTC, 2 en VSL, y este último, solo tengo 3 abandonos, esto me hacía pensar en mis posibilidades, y los setups jaja, no tenían nada que ver con los de mis entrenos, antes de pasar a carrera los tocaba para hacerlos mas conservadores. Casi siempre iba a 3 paradas,  las gomas más blandas, subía radiador, conducto, alerón etc.

P.-En el último tercio de la temporada se te veía muy fuerte, en Suzuka y sobre todo en la última prueba en México, por fin disteis con la tecla

R.-Si un poco de todo, yo tenía claro a lo que jugaba, era acabar, a la vez  éramos pocos pilotos y sin tanta presión podía rodar más a mi aire y hacer mejores tiempos.

P.- ¿Seguirán Chals y Galop haciendo dúo la próxima temporada?

R.-Yo estaría encantado, pero como en todo, si se quiere mejorar,  tiene que a ver cambios y creo que los habrá. No se puede poner a valdes de delantero centro ni a messi de portero, la verdad que Albu tiene trabajo para recolocar el equipo para que cada uno de lo máximo.

P.-Finalmente ambos acabasteis dentro del top ten, dentro de una categoría muy difícil, con el Chaparral en 6ª posición. Para la próxima temporada solo cabe mejorar, ¿que objetivos te marcas?

R.-1º correré sin esa presión de no abandonar ninguna carrera, eso me hará disfrutar algo de ellas y arriesgar más para ser más competitivo.

P.-Bueno te puedo adelantar que se está trabajando ya, en los premios del próximo año, ¿que te parecen estas iniciativas por parte de la organización? Y siendo el que se ha llevado el premio este año y que posiblemente haya 3 premios el próximo año y siempre para fomentar la participación hasta el final ¿como los repartirías?

R.-Aver, para fomentar la participación el premio lo daría a los tres que más vueltas den entrenando dentro del server. Parece broma pero piénsalo, si la gente no entrena con gente no se motiva, luego todos tienen opciones a ganarlo hasta el último día, claro si a mí me faltan 200 vueltas pues me tiro toda la noche entrenando y recupero, pero el otro tendrá que hacer lo mismo para no dejárselo escapar, y eso hace de que las carreras estarían mejor preparadas, más igualadas y después de la gente tanto rodar por cojones acabas participando en el GP.

P.- Bombero ha apuntado en una entrevista que nos ha concedido, sus preferencias para la próxima temporada. Como uso obligatorio de un anti-cheat, un mod que cuide los fps, un reglamento más completo, ¿estás de acuerdo? ¿Que mejorarías y como te gustaría que fuese el mod en cuanto a físicas?

R.-En general estoy bastante contento con el formato, no creo que sea el momento de dar palos a nadie, organizar un evento así tiene su trabajo, lo de los circuitos ni te cuento, así que es el momento de relajarse y agradecer el trabajo de quienes intervienen, de cara a enero febrero ya  hablaremos.

P.- Siendo Manuel Camaron “Albu”, manager de tu equipo y de los campeones de VS1, con los Fem Futur, me imagino que un trocito de ese campeonato también le corresponde a Chaparral

R.-Si, por supuesto, cuando yo gane el volante y bombero el campeonato, se puede decir que ganamos los cinco jaja, Galop estaba tan contento como yo, Mik como bombero y Albu ni te cuento, pero la verdad  entre nosotros lo tenemos claro que bombero es el crack del equipo.

P.- ¿Cómo diablos os organizabais el día de carrera desde el box, entre vosotros y el Fem Futur? Madre mía jajajaja

R.- pues es el momento más feliz de toda la semana, todos juntos apoyándonos  y ayudándonos, como trabajamos toda la semana, el día de la carrera, todos sabemos cuál es nuestro papel y así es más fácil.
